I was in rush to reach to my seat as if I don’t reach there in another ten minutes world will come to an end. I believe we all corporate slaves do this, enjoy your work or at least pretend ;) I saw my bosses boss coming straight from the corridor, I fumbled to say good afternoon, he was in hurry too… obvious though J he started off wo saying kya thi tough tough karke.. all I could say work hard.. and he said.. kyaaaa!!! And told me the one saying.. which out of all the sayings I forgot!! Yup.. I am sure you have guessed it right, when things get tough; tough gets going!
I believe that motivations can’t be given it comes from within but sometime when you hear those motivational words when you actually needed them.. maters the most. Yeah, lot of times we are exhausted, tired, pressurized, filled with lot of negativity around us, we look for one kind word, one right approach, one right direction and bang we are on track. Some more things, which I learnt from the past couple of days, are take things head on and don’t leave any loophole in your effort. Lot of times we tend to keep a door open behind our back so that when we fail we have an escape route. Wrong attitude!! Then we will never be able to reach the goal which we so desperately wants to achieve, someone have to say it correct, it is the last five steps which matters a lot. Keep going who knows what future holds for you.
Did you get a chance to look back into your life and realize that it was always you who have helped you. Remember the time when that project was in rush and you have stayed till two to complete it or the time when you have finished five tasks in day including picking Bitto from school, finishing the long pending project, visiting your mom-in-law phew!! That was huge isn’t it.. n number of times we have sailed through these successfully but every time any difficult situation comes up the first thing which comes to my mind, god why me.. please help!! Do you really think we get any help, think about your wins and you will realize the answer your selves. Well.. we never get any answer from outside its there within us where we have to look for answers, solutions, help.
Oh, but these seems too bookish or too practical to implement because here the most important question comes how to look inward for help, how to generate that help. I think the first thing should be making your self open for changes. The first and foremost think to look inwards, if you are not open for changes you can’t never think outside the box and solutions is thinking outside the box. It is also important to relax and appreciate your effort even if you think you have not got the desired success because at the end of the day when thing gets tough, tough gets going!!
very nicely written... kaafi free flowing language mein likha hai...
ReplyDeletebut as far as ideology goes, IN TOTALITY YES i agree to what u had written... but i might wanna rephrase it... as in core motivation might solely come from within but support n backup of others has to be there to maintain the momentum...
Really, the quantum effect of 'a kind word', when in distress is not measurable. sometime, IT IS the differentiating factor, between success and failure, between End and Restart.
ReplyDeleteThis is by-far the best (as in its simplicity in explaining) blog I came across after reading so many articles and self-help books on the subject!
