First experience of any activity is a good feel idea. Remember the furst time when you have eyed the beautiful girl of the office or the first time she had said hi and the first time she agreed for tge coffee and then for lunch and one fine day for dinner. First time when you kissed her and first time when you hold her on to the beautiful sunset in Goa. And now first timw when you have heard the first heartbeat of the small her. That feeling, I am sure can't be expressed in words.

Why do we need to blog
We blog because we want us to be heard. The blogs are the best medium to express your random thoughts thatvway your husband will also get respite of listen to your blabbering all the time. There can be one more reason why we blog, it has to be the boredom. I am sitting in office waiting for the watch to show 5:30 and it seems for the past one hr the mins haven't moved so tell me what is the best thibg which a person can do, exactly he will blog. One more reason which suddenly crops my mind other then fad (I am sure this must be your first point) is the recognition. There are bloggers who are very popular and fine day when you read them ut suddenly clicks you, I can also write that or may be better so wolah, you jumped into the bandwagon of the bloggers. And religiously writes so that someone would surely takea notice of you ;)
One day - friend
One of my best friend now was my office friend, in ur 20s it seem so easy to make friends for life. You r open, receptive making friends seems so easy and as soon as u touch the dreading 30 figure, suddenly, u become more mature, friends become scarce, u start looking for an elusive term called security. And one fine day when u see a colleague of urs who seems so friendly couple of days back, now seems suddenly cold with her own group, it just makes me contemplate whether, this is her na-tu-re or is it my 30 syndrome. Whatever it is, I could only hope that I am on right side of the fence :)

Tips for Project Management
- We as a project manager always keep the project at the highest priority. These are absolutely correct!! But always try to see the bigger picture, connect your project with the business acumen. We are working for an organization; a project will only be successful if it is fulfilling the dynamics of a company as a whole.
- Meetings, meetings & more meetings!! We all got bugged down with these meetings. Let’s have a 10 minute quick review meeting everyday! But we all know that the quickest meeting last for at least half an hour and it result is that it hamper the work; disrupt your chain of thought. So what’s the solution? Well… meetings are necessary evil so these can’t be avoided. What you could do, make sure that all the meetings is covered in one part of the day. Do keep your at least two to three hours at a stretch for work. I am sure you will see this is the time where you can get the best ideas for the project.
- We all tend to bog down by the problems which we faced day to day; from HR related; say one of key resource is rude with others or server is down and important delivery is on bay. Think these problems as a part of life, because as a project manager you are suppose to resolve issues of any sort. Take pride to be multi-tasker and issue resolver.
- Give your team some space to explore! We are all, living in a competitive market. Continuous improvement is one of the major agenda of the companies. Completing the work quickly, with quality and within budget is the basic essential now you are expected to do the work with innovation so that you do give something extra to client and within this process you are able to save more for your own organization. One smart method will be empower your team, you could only grow when your team grows with you. Support them, guide them but don’t spoon fed them. Let them shine and be the leader to make them shine!
- To error is human, how to reduce the error. Well, the best thing is to check. Obviously no one is asking the project manager not to belive their team member or start behaving like QA. But it’s a good idea to check the outcome. By doing this he is achieving two points, one he is improving the quality and two he is getting involved in the project thus improving his team members confidence in him.
- We all know about RCA and CAPA’s but how much we work on it is important. Whenever anyone complains, human tendency is to get a quick fix solution and give some freebies to them to get the issue resolved. Avoid it as much as possible. Always try to get into the deeper of the problem. Find out the reason why it is happening and then figure how to avoid it. Make a brief plan and stick to it. Do monitor the progress. This will definitely give you desired results over the period of time.
- Know your agenda, what you wanted to achieve. Being in control is the first aspect of project management. You can never say that I am not in control over situations. And you could be in control if you are in control of yourself. Your vision is crystal clear. You know what are you looking for. If there is any slightest doubt. Take a back seat, think and then roll again.
- We all understand that the market is growing in a tremendous speed so is the skill set of people. To be able to cope with the ever changing scenario, learn new skill set. This will make you more comfortable to get involved into new territory. And who knows you might some extra bucks because of the new language you learn recently.
- Making real plan is THE most difficult part of a project management. The best way to handle this is to be skeptical as much as possible. It is good to be optimistic but to see the potential problem you need to on your toes. Thus ask many questions before coming up a plan, my suggestion don’t be very pessimistic. It will also not solve the purpose :)
- And most important point, result. Nothing is viable till the time you are not delivering. Thus your every job should have an objective to reach your goal. How you are going to achieve it is your choice!!!

When things get tough; tough gets going!!
I believe that motivations can’t be given it comes from within but sometime when you hear those motivational words when you actually needed them.. maters the most. Yeah, lot of times we are exhausted, tired, pressurized, filled with lot of negativity around us, we look for one kind word, one right approach, one right direction and bang we are on track. Some more things, which I learnt from the past couple of days, are take things head on and don’t leave any loophole in your effort. Lot of times we tend to keep a door open behind our back so that when we fail we have an escape route. Wrong attitude!! Then we will never be able to reach the goal which we so desperately wants to achieve, someone have to say it correct, it is the last five steps which matters a lot. Keep going who knows what future holds for you.
Did you get a chance to look back into your life and realize that it was always you who have helped you. Remember the time when that project was in rush and you have stayed till two to complete it or the time when you have finished five tasks in day including picking Bitto from school, finishing the long pending project, visiting your mom-in-law phew!! That was huge isn’t it.. n number of times we have sailed through these successfully but every time any difficult situation comes up the first thing which comes to my mind, god why me.. please help!! Do you really think we get any help, think about your wins and you will realize the answer your selves. Well.. we never get any answer from outside its there within us where we have to look for answers, solutions, help.
Oh, but these seems too bookish or too practical to implement because here the most important question comes how to look inward for help, how to generate that help. I think the first thing should be making your self open for changes. The first and foremost think to look inwards, if you are not open for changes you can’t never think outside the box and solutions is thinking outside the box. It is also important to relax and appreciate your effort even if you think you have not got the desired success because at the end of the day when thing gets tough, tough gets going!!
